To carry out effective air operations on a global scale, the RAF needs to be at the cutting edge of information communications technology. For this the RAF requires a vast range of complex systems – from long-range radar to Typhoon support systems. From airfield navigation equipment to local area networks and satellite systems.
How do they manage and maintain such a range of different technologies? By having highly-trained, expert ICT Specialists on hand at all times, in all environments.
From airfield offices to underground bunkers, ICT (Information, Communications and Technology) Specialists help to set up the deployable communications and control systems and navigation aids needed for successful exercises and missions.
