Survival Tip 1
Find or build shelter, and hide yourself as best you can from potential enemies. Rest during the day and travel at night

Survival Tip 2
Increase your chances of rescue by finding allied forces. If it’s safe, create fires with smoke to attract passing aircraft or ships

Survival Tip 3
Find a source of water like a spring or stream. If you can’t, collect rainwater. If you’re near the sea, a ration pack can be turned into a distillation device to make salt water safe to drink

Survival Tip 4
Set traps for passing animals, and collect berries and fruit

*RAF personnel are highly trained in survival procedures. It is not recommended to act upon any of the tips above unless you have received proper training.
