Football
Football has a firm place on the RAF’s sporting agenda, so if you’re always up for a game there’s no shortage of opportunities to play, at all kinds of levels. As the RAF’s largest participation sport, it’s great recreation and plays an important role in keeping personnel fit and building teamwork – all vital for successful operations. You’ll find football is played pretty much everywhere you could be based with the RAF, including 40 UK RAF units, and overseas in Cyprus, Gibraltar, Germany and Belgium. Further afield, you can still get a game in the Falkland Islands, Ascension Islands, Afghanistan and Iraq. In the sporting world, it’s also a very exciting time for ladies' football and that’s no different in the RAF.
