Qualifications you need: Professional – BTEC National Diploma or foundation degree or BSc in dental technology, or equivalent. You should also have at least two years' post-qualification practical experience in a hospital or commercial laboratory

Nationality: Citizen of the UK or the Republic of Ireland, or a Commonwealth citizen since birth
The job
As a Dental Technician in the RAF, you will be employed in the construction of all types of dental appliances, mainly acrylic and chrome cobalt dentures, crowns and bridges. You may also restore implants. As your career progresses, there may be the opportunity for you to work on constructing orthodontic and maxillofacial work. As a member of the Dental Trades, you may be called on to serve in any location where dental services are provided.
