Qualifications you need: 5 GCSEs/SCEs at Grade C/3 minimum or equivalent, including English language, maths, physics (or a physics-based science) and chemistry (or a chemistry-based science).

The job
Environmental Health Technicians provide professional advice to ensure that RAF personnel always have safe and healthy working and living conditions.
As an Environmental Health Technician, you’ll identify, evaluate and control chemical, biological and physical hazards that may affect the well-being of the community. You’ll visit RAF bases to inspect and advise on all aspects of occupational and environmental health, such as disposing of toxic waste or how to maintain hygiene when people are working in the field.
Opportunities
Once you’ve successfully completed your training, you’ll be awarded an HND in Environmental and Occupational Health. You’ll have opportunities for further training throughout your career, and you could be selected to study for a degree in Environmental Health.
