ATP-56(B) - Air to Air Refuelling

The ATP-56(B) is the NATO Air to Air Refuelling Procedures publication and is RELEASABLE BY INTERNET. Many NATO Air and maritime Air Forces have the capability to conduct air to air refuelling (AAR) operations. Although detailed procedures are dependent on aircraft type, mode of employment and national requirements, there is sufficient commonality for NATO Standard Procedures to be developed to enhance operational interoperability.

The aim of this publication is to provide a reference document covering procedures, national AAR equipment and AAR capable aircraft. The following download is in .pdf format:
