Flt Lt Ben Lonsdale

Born in May 1982, Ben grew up in Settle, North Yorkshire. Having completed a BA (Hons) in Sports Science and French at the University of Wales, Bangor, he joined the RAF in May 2006. Upon graduation from the RAF College, Cranwell he was posted to RAF Waddington as Officer Commanding Physical Education Flight. After a short detachment to the EU Counter-Piracy Operation HQ at Northwood, he trained as a Parachute Jumping Instructor at RAF Brize Norton; he completed 18 months on Military Training Flight before joining the RAF Falcons. Ben enjoys skiing, snowboarding, adventure racing and photography.
