International Defence Training (RAF)

As a large professional training organisation the Royal Air Force has extensive expertise in training officers, airmen, civilians and International students. Our courses and training techniques are constantly being evaluated and revised so they remain relevant, current and above all stimulating.

The Royal Air Force trains aircrew to fulfil all operational roles, and support staff across a wide spectrum of roles. Basic and advanced technical courses, some of which attract national qualifications, are available to all ranks; junior Command and Staff Training (CST) and specialist courses, such as parachute and aeromedical training, are also available.

The training expertise, coupled with the Royal Air Force’s extensive Operational experience, means that our training comes from first-hand experience and is not based on theory alone.

The RAF has a proven track record of military excellence, which we wish to impart to you. IDT(RAF) aims to contribute substantially to Defence Diplomacy, building lasting relationships within the International Defence community. Training Desk Officers are happy to provide any promotional material you may require. Bespoke RAF training is also being offered alongside our catalogue courses.

You should use IDT(RAF) staff as the first point of contact. Industry/contractors are asked to approach via the RAF Marketing Partner, Horizon Training. Horizon have been facilitating access to the RAF’s ground training portfolio for over 5 years with a customer base ranging from private individuals through to large multi national corporations and government bodies.
