JACIG Basic Camera Handling Course
Aim of Course
The aim of the course is to train Tri-Service and Civil Service personnel posted to the JACIG, to undertake photographic tasks using the current service issue digital cameras.
Outline of Syllabus
The course concentrates on giving students an introduction to the basic theory and principles of photography, an understanding of the current issue JACIG cameras and sufficient photographic practice so as to enable the student to carry out tasks as directed by JACIG.
The syllabus covers the following topics: electronic flash photography, practical exercise, photographic techniques, camera controls, light & optics and the care & maintenance of photographic equipment materials.
International Entry Standards
Students must be non-photographic personnel of the equivalent ranks Sergeant to Wing Commander, who have completed the Arms Control Verification Course at RAF Henlow prior to attending this course.
