RAF Hot Air Balloon

The Halton Balloon Club welcomes everyone in the Service who may wish to be involved in Hot-Air Ballooning. Unfortunately, much more so than with conventional flying, ballooning is extremely weather dependent although it is possible to fly throughout the year. The current pilots are Tony Attwood, Chris Ford and John Sproat (who was involved with the founding of the club).  We need more pilots.

Whether you may be interested in learning to fly, or just wish to have a flight, we would be delighted to hear from you. We also need enthusiasts who want to retrieve and like the challenge of map reading and driving, with or without a trailer, and meeting local land-owners and farmers. A good retrieve team is as important as the pilot! Do contact any of the pilots and we will give you more information.
