November 2010 Update
Matt Blunden - Sets Personal Best for the Marathon - 2 hrs 26 min 37 sec at Florence Italy 28 Nov 10
Cpl Matt Blunden RAF Waddington - (Air Warfare Centre) gave the profile of Royal Air Force running yet another boost at the Florence Marathon on Sun 28 Nov 10. He overcame the unfavourable cold wet miserable weather conditions to finish in an outstanding 13th position overall just behind the full time professional athletes, which included a strong Ethiopian contingent. Running in adverse conditions he is to be commended on completing the 26.2 mile course in a personal best of 2 hrs 26 min 37 sec. At this level personal bests are not easily achieved, so Matt setting half-marathon personal best at the Great North Run (68 min 49 sec) in Sep and adding a marathon personal best a few weeks later can only be described as an excellent result.Oz Ellis & Marcus Maxwell - Eynsham 10 km Road Race Sun 28 Nov 10
