Heraldic description: A sun in splendour surmounted of a bow fesswise the strings uppermost overall a sword point upwards.

Reason for design:  The bow is introduced to suggest the proximity of Huntingdon and the sun to represent the light without which daylight reconnaissance and photographic functions of the station would be impossible.  The sword suggests the station task in time of war.
