Visiting RAF Stanbridge

RAF Stanbridge is a satelite site of RAF Henlow, which is situated approximately 23 miles apart.  RAF Stanbridge remains one of the smallest RAF stations and is the home to the Supply Central Computer system.  It consists of only two Station buildings and 24 married quarters.

By Road

RAF Standbridge is situated within the Bedfordshire boundary near the A5 and A505.  The nearest large town is Leighton Buzzard.

By Rail

The nearest train station is at Leighton Buzzard, on the main West Coast Main Line service.  Trains operate from Birmingham to London Euston, via Milton Keynes, Bletchley and Leighton Buzzard.  It is approximately 40 minutes into London by train.  It takes about 10 minutes to get to the train station from RAF Stanbridge.

By Bus

Arriva Bus number 70 runs from Milton Keynes, via Leighton Buzzard Rail Station and RAF Stanbridge to Luton Rail Station and Luton Airport.

The nearest National Express Coaches operate from Milton Keynes or Luton.

Stagecoach run a regular service from Leighton Buzzard to Bedford, Leighton Buzzard to Milton Keynes and Alyesbury to Dunstable.

By Air

Luton Airport is 45 minutes; Heathrow, Stansted, Birmingham, East-Midlands and Gatwick are within 2 hours.
