What is Community Development?

Community Development is the process of individuals, groups and organisations working together to identify and tackle local issue and concerns.

What do I do for the Community?

I offer information, advice and support to community groups and clubs to help them achieve good practice. I work with the local communities surrounding our RAF stations to build relationships and make sure the most is made of community resources on our doorstep.

I also represent the voice of our RAF community to all levels of the Station Command Chain. Relevant external issues are also addressed with Parish, District and County Councils.

What do I do for the Station?

As the Community Development Officer I sit on a number of committees run by the Station and work to address Community issues raised.
