RAF Henlow

First Steps Crèche

The crèche is situated in the childcare centre at RAF Henlow. It is open term-time only between the hours of 09.00 and 15.00. It takes children from 15 months to 3 years of age. The crèche is registered with ofsted to take up to 20 children.

RAF Henlow Pre-School

The Pre-school is situated in the childcare centre. It is Ofsted inspected and was rated as good (03/11) to meet all your child’s educational needs from 3 years old, until statutory school age i.e. the term in which their 5th birthday falls. The Pre-school is open from 09.00 until 15.00 during local school terms only.

Pre-school is funded from the 1st term after their 3rd Birthday.

Sunshine After School and Holiday Club

RAF Henlow Pre-school runs an After School Club and a Holiday Scheme.

Sunshine After School Club Monday - Friday 3:15 pm - 5:30 pm

The aim of the RAF Henlow Sunshine After School Club is to provide a safe, friendly and stimulating environment for children after school. Qualified staff collect children from Derwent Lower school or off the Henlow Middle school bus and provide them with a drink and snack upon arrival at the club.
