Mess Bar

The Mess Bar has a wide range of beers, wines and spirits for your enjoyment. The bar currently stocks Bombardier, Stones, Guinness and Kronenbourg 1664 ales, an excellent selection of Malt Whiskey, as well as other spirits, soft drinks and snacks. There is also a wide selection of reasonably priced wines from around the world.

Irregular Events

The Mess has a large screen TV and this will be used to broadcast major events (e.g. Sports) in the Ante-Room. Details will be displayed on the Mess Notice Board.

Happy Hour

Happy Hours will usually be held every Friday from 1700 to 1800 unless there is a major function planned, then Happy Hour will be held on the preceding Thursday (see Entertainments Programme for full details). Happy Hours will also be held on Thursdays when the Friday is a Station Stand-down (for example Easter). However, the first Happy Hour of every month will be held on a Wednesday from 1700 to 1800.

Families Happy Hour

Families Happy Hours will be held on the last Friday of every month unless there is a major function planned, then the Happy Hour will be held on the nearest available date (See Entertainments Programme for dates). All spouses/partners, family and friends are welcome to attend. Enquires to the Entertainments Member or Mess Reception.

Mess Rules

There is a copy of Mess Rules held at the Mess Reception. The dress code “colour card” is displayed on the centre table in the Mess Foyer.
