Work Experience Programme

RAF Cosford offers a work experience programme which encompasses visiting and exploring a number of different work areas to give the Student a wider picture of the Careers, Ethos and Lifestyle the Royal Air Force has to offer.

To apply for the work experience programme, students should ask their Work Experience Co-ordinators / Head of Year or Head Teacher at their School or College to telephone the Work Experience Co-ordinator at RAF Cosford in the first instance, as placements cannot be reserved by the students. Students should also be aware that there are no residential placements available at RAF Cosford and it is the responsibility of the student to travel daily at his / her own expense or stay at a local bed and breakfast.

Work Experience does not take place during Half Terms or main School Holidays.

There is no requirement for a preliminary interview or visit to RAF Cosford.

Work experience students will not take part in any flying or shooting exercises during their time at RAF Cosford.
