This rose bowl was kindly given by BAE Systems and CAP Gemini to Malcolm Pledger who was the President of the RAF Cycling Club during the RAFCC's participation in the Race Across America in 2002.

Malcolm Pledger graciously passed on the bowl to the RAF Cycling Club to utilise at it's discretion.

Therefore, it is under exceptional circumstances that the Malcolm Pledger Rose Bowl is used to honour it's members.
