Go track cycling with RAFCA
- With an up to date fleet of modern track bikes (painted in RAF livery), RAFCA offers excellent opportunities to learn and participate in velodrome riding.
- The RAFCA predominently uses the Wales National Velodrome in Newport, South Wales as it is difficult to get track time at the more centrally located Manchester Velodrome.
- Track cycling within the RAF is listed as a separate discipline and our goal is to make track cycling available to everyone within the Club, no matter what standard.
- RAF Cycling usually hold four separate 4-hour sessions within the year and encourage riders from all disciplines to have a go. It is fair to say, everyone who has ever attended has had a great day out.
- During your visit to Newport, the RAFCA employs the services of Mr Courtney Rowe, velodrome manager and BCF qualified coach. Courtney structures the sessions for riders of all ability, starting with warm up drills, bike handling and conditioning.
- Directions to the Wales National Velodrome.
So what are you waiting for? You could be the next military hour record holder!
