About us

Near Aylesbury Bucks, operates a Flying Club where Servicemen and women, regardless of rank or trade, and affiliated civilians, have the opportunity of learning to fly at the lowest practical cost. Halton is 25 minutes from the M25. Nearest rail station is Wendover on the Chiltern line…45 minutes from Marylebone. The Club is well-equipped and operates 7 days a week with full-time instructors and a training fleet of 3 Cessna 152s and a PA-28 for PPL training and a Cessna C182 for more experienced pilots. Aerobatic instruction / tailwheel conversion is available on a Citabria Aurora.

Dual rate for all the above - add £14.10 per hour
IMC instruction - add £21.15 per hour

Club Facilities

The Club provides a full briefing facility, complete with online NOTAM and weather information. Internet is available. There is a comfortable Crewroom with TV and DVD complete with bar providing hot drinks, other beverages and confectionary. A Simulator is currently under construction for IMC training.

PPR: OC Ops on 95237 6367 (VPN) OR Ops Manager on 01296 622697 (BT) / 95237 6178 (VPN) All relevant information in RAF Minor Aerodromes (UK) or Pooleys.

Intense gliding activity at this airfield. NO overhead joins. Pilots are to obtain brief before arrival or departure.

Weekend arrival or departure a brief is essential, there are no circuits at weekends at this airfield.

RAFFCA Reciprocity

Any RAFFCA Service member detached to Halton will be charged the same as a Service member.  If their stay were extended, more than a 3 month period membership would be required.
