RAF Marham - Marham Aero Club
About us
The Marham Aero Club (MAC) has been open since May 2003 and offers flying training, instrument training, touring and hours building on our Cessna 150 and our Piper PA28. We are located on Alpha dispersal in building 92A (the old 39 Sqn ops room, connected to the 31 Sqn bar).
As a member of RAFFCA, our aim is to provide access to low-cost aviation and training to all ranks of service personnel and their families at RAF Marham. We also have space for a limited number of civilians to join the club.
With two instructors and an examiner now at our disposal there couldn't be a better time to start those flying lessons. Why not come into the club and find out what it takes to gain your PPL?
If you already have your licence then why not develop your skills with an instrument rating?

Aircraft & Prices
2 aircraft available: a Piper PA-28 Cherokee and Cessna 150. The PA-28 seats 4 people and is capable for flying for over 5 hours on one tank of fuel. It has a full IFR fit, including 2 x VOR, ILS, DME ADF, 2 x radios, emergency locator transmitter and basic autopilot. It cruises at about 100 knots, so is definitely suitable for touring and is fully insured and equipped for overseas flight. It has recently undergone a major refit and has a new leather interior and zero timed engine. Contact the club for the rates.
Available Fuel
Limited quantities of fuel available to RAFFCA members; we are currently using barrels and handpump. Please contact the flying club for the current rates.
Club Facilities
AVGAS, Club House, Refreshments, Facilities, phone, fax, e-mail, books and charts.
Aircraft Joining Instructions
Aircraft joining instructions can be found on the MAC website.
RAFFCA Reciprocity
Marham Aero Club accepts membership of RAFFCA without imposing any extra charges at all. If the RAFFCA member can prove they have a current club check and have flown within the last 30 days on an aircraft similar to ours, they will not require any form of club check from us before they fly our aircraft. Otherwise, quick club check and they’re off.
