The RAF Golf Association (RAFGA) is managed by an Executive Committee on behalf of its members. Its principal goal is to develop all levels of golfers from grass roots to representative players by organising tournaments and competitions and assisting with coaching opportunities. For those of you who aspire to represent the Royal Air Force there are plenty of opportunities for you to stake a claim for selection and I would encourage you to make the most of these occasions.

If you are new to golf or have not yet joined, the RAFGA Membership Scheme offers significant benefits at a very reasonable price, the value of which is unavailable through any other route.

Finally, there have been a number of changes ‘at the top’ of the RAFGA. On behalf of all RAF golfers I would like to thank our outgoing President, Air Chief Marshal Sir Simon Bryant, for all his support and wish him the very best in his planned retirement. I would also like to welcome our new President, Air Commodore Tim Bishop, who has stepped up from being Chairman and who, as his final act as Chairman, wrote to all OICs Golf. I am confident that many of us will see Air Commodore Tim on the golf course throughout the year, when I know that you will wish to thank him for his excellent leadership as Chairman and welcome him into his new role.
