Phil Morris
| Sergeant Phil Morris, 31 from Cardiff, joined the RAF as a PTI after completing his A’ Levels in 1996. Interestingly, his nan was an RAF PTI many years ago and throughout her career, she educated Phil as to what a great job it was that offered many opportunities for travel and sport. He is currently based at RAF Cosford, working as a PTI but specialising in Adventurous Training. Before joining the RAF, Phil represented Wales at judo and has since competed on several occasions in the inter-services competition. He came 5th in the Commonwealth Games in 2006 and was awarded the gold medal on 2 occasions in the America/Canada competition. He is currently a 1st Dan Black Belt and hopes to continue competing for as long as he can. Despite several remarkable judo injuries, which include dislocating his shoulder and breaking his clavicle in one go, he enjoys all sorts of adventurous training activities, including rock climbing, skiing and canoeing. |
