As with most RAF Stations, there are 3 main Wings. These being: Base Support, Engineering and Logistics and Operations.

Engineering and Logistics Wing

OC ELW 'The main role of Engineering and Logistics Wing at RAF Leeming is to deliver output in support of the station and the other units based at Leeming and parented nearby. The Wg also supports all exercises and operations based at Leeming.'

Eng Logs Wg is divided into two areas of responsibility: Engineering Support Squadron, covering all engineering and associated tasks, and Logistics Sqn providing logistical support to all elements of the Stn, whether based in the UK or deployed in theatre

Operations Wing

T OC Operations he main role of Operations Wing at
RAF Leeming, in accordance with the
Station mission, is to train for, deliver, and support UK and expeditionary air operations. Operationally focussed in providing support to Station outputs, Ops Wg is at the very hub of station activity.

Ops Wg is divided into six main areas of responsibility: Air Traffic Control (ATC), Intelligence, Air Operations, Flight Safety including FOD prevention, MET and the Fire Section. The RAF Leeming Mountain Rescue Team (MRT), whilst under the command of OC Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) at RAF valley, falls within the administrative responsibilities of Ops Wg
