The North Region of the Air Cadets covers an area from Hull in the East to Berwick in the North East across to Carlisle in the North West and down to the Manchester and East Cheshire area. There are some 170 Squadrons and Detached Flights within the Region with 7000 cadets and 1500 RAFVR(T) Officers Adult Warrant Officers and Civilian Instructors. In addition, 600 plus civilian committee members support our Sqn’s and Wings. Across the UK there are 34000 Air Cadets, 9500 Air Cadets of the CCF RAF Element and 10900 Officers, Chaplains, AWO’s & Civilian Instructors.

The Aims of the Air Cadet Organization are:

To promote and encourage among young people a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force.

To provide training which will be useful in the Services and civilian life.

To foster the spirit of adventure and develop qualities of leadership and good citizenship.
