No 3 (RAF) Force Protection Wing - Under New Command - July 2007

Wg Cdr Phil Lester took command of No3 Force Protection Wing, based at RAF Marham, from Wg Cdr Andy Knowles. Wg Cdr Knowles departs to attend the Advance Staff College. On taking over command Wg Cdr Lester, who arrives from PJHQ at Northwood, where he was the Force Protection Operations Team Leader said “It is fantastic to be back on a front line flying station and to be commanding the Wing, I am also looking forward to the inevitable challenges and to deploying on Operation TELIC in the new year”.
