Base Support Wing
Base Support Wing (BSW), formerly Admin Wing, provides the support function responsible for the day to day running of Royal Air Force Marham. The breadth of activities undertaken by the various elements of Base Support Wing at Marham are unusually wide, comprising the routine administrative functions of Personnel, Property Management, Financial Services and Resources, Force Development, Community Support, including Media Communications Office, the Community Development Officer and Catering as well as the Facilities Management Squadron and the services provided by the Regional Medical Centre, Dental Centre, Department of Community Mental Health, Chaplaincy Services, Security Squadron; responsible for Provost Operations, the RAF Police, the Dog Section, Criminal and Special Investigations and the Station Regiment Flight and lastly 2620 (County of Norfolk Squadron) Royal Auxiliary Air Force Regiment.

Wing Commander Steve Dharamraj MA BSc (Hons) MICM RAF
Wing Commander Steve Dharamraj joined the Royal Air Force in 1989. On completion of his professional training as an Administrative (Education) Officer Steve served at RAF Wildenrath, Wyton and Halton as the Station Education Officer. After a detachment to the Falkland Islands, Steve was selected for an exchange tour with the Royal Navy, at the Royal Naval School of Educational Technology Training, HMS Nelson. In 1999 Steve returned to RAF Halton, serving at the Training Development Support Unit.
On promotion to Squadron Leader in 2001, Steve’s first appointment was to the Equal Opportunities Training Centre, Shrivenham, as an instructor. This was followed by a staff appointment at Headquarters Personnel and Training Command. In 2004 Steve took up the newly established post of Officer Commanding Force Development Squadron at RAF Valley, during which he was detached to Op TELIC as the Director of the Press Information Centre at Headquarters Multi-National Division (South).
Promoted to the rank of Wing Commander in 2006, Steve initially spent 12 months on the Collocated Headquarters Team that managed the closure of Headquarters Personnel and Training Command and the establishment of Headquarters Air Command. Steve was selected for Advanced Staff Training in 2007 and attended Advanced Command and Staff Course 11 at the Joint Service Command and Staff College. On completion of which, Steve was posted to Headquarters No22(Training) Group as the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Air Office Commanding. He assumed command of Base Support Wing at RAF Marham in July 2010.
Steve is married to Sue and they have two daughters. Interests include rugby, general fitness training, and learning to play the guitar.
