Royal Air Force 'TNT Soul Explosion'

The Band of the Royal Air Force College and The Band of the Royal Air Force Regiment have within their ranks many small groups and ensembles. One such group is 'TNT' - a six-piece Soul, Blues and Covers Band.

Formed in 1999, 'TNT' has become a highly popular group with audiences both young and old, providing music for the 'young at heart' at weddings, parties, messes and corporate functions around the world.

With the addition of the 'TNT' disco (providing music before and after the performance, and during the break) and full supporting lighting rig and sound system, the music of 'TNT' will always get people on the dance floor - whatever the occasion!

Following the establishment in 2000 of the Royal Air Force Music Theatre of Operations Tour, the group now travels extensively overseas to entertain the troops on operational duties. Recent tours have included Kosova, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Ascension Island, Cyprus and Oman.

With the success of their various 'Party in the Park' performances in Lincolnshire and the overseas tours to entertain the British Forces, the BBC invited TNT Soul Explosion to headline the stage with Status Quo, Girls Aloud, Jamie Cullum and Tony Christie for their special 'Children in Need' event held at Royal Air Force Brize Norton on 18 November 2005.  Performing live to an audience of 18,000 and a BBC television audience of many millions, TNT Soul Explosion really have now joined the world stage...
