Welcome House and Lodge

By permission of the Station Commander and with the support of the Defence Housing Executive (DHE) RAF Wittering have one 2-bedroom house (Burghley Avenue) and a 3-bedroom house (Parker Road) to provide welfare assistance and family support to personnel of RAF Wittering and other military establishments. Two houses are available on a daily basis for overnight accommodation.

The purpose of these facilities is to provide all ranks with accommodation which can be used for various reasons including: march-out cleaning, in the event of a marital breakdown or to allow children from a previous marriage to visit in a homely environment, to allow friends and family to visit without overloading your house or perhaps to visit RAF Wittering prior to arrival on posting.

Welcome House

The Welcome House located at 2 Burghley Avenue, is a 2 bed roomed fully furnished house with 4 single beds a cot, bathroom with shower, laundry facilities and microwave oven. All bedding is provided.

Welcome Lodge

The Welcome Lodge located at 15 Parker Road, is a 3 bedroomed fully furnished house with 5 single beds, cot and z-bed, a bathroom with shower. All bedding is provided.

Bookings

Both Properties are currently available for booking under the following priorities:

Priority 1
Emergency housing, SAAFA referrals, personnel / families visiting CRITICAL patients in MDHU & NOWHERE to stay.
Priority 2
Separated personnel wishing contact with dependant children.
Priority 3
Single personnel with parents / family wishing to visit, march in / out, families occupying SFA
with too little space to host visiting family. Families visiting MDHU.
Priority 4
Mess or sports functions, lack of mess accommodation.

Note: Any subsequent movements of current guests are to be carried out during normal working hours.

Reservations
The properties are available for advance booking of up to 3 months for up to 14 nights at a time. To arrange bookings please contact the Accommodation Office on 01780 783838 extension 7605

Charges
The cost to rent the properties is £20 for the first night then £15 for all subsequent nights for the duration of the stay. All money must be paid before the keys are issued. Please note: Late exit or a short notice (less than 24 hrs) reservation cancellation will bring about a £10 charge.

Occupancy
The maximum number of people permitted to stay in each of the properties is 5 persons.

Laundry Facilities
A washing machine and tumble dryer are available for your use. Detergent is not provided.

Television and DVD Player
A television and DVD player has been provided for your entertainment. DVD's are available for hire from the local SPAR shop.

Pets/Animals
Due to allergies and cause of discomfort to other/future guests, animals are not permitted.

Smoking Policy
Smoking is not permitted in the properties.
