Corporal Lyndon Picken
Lyndon is an Avionics Technician and flies with Red 4, Flight Lieutenant James McMillan. This is his first year on Circus.
Age- 30
Education- St Thomas More RC School and Sixth Form College in Willenhall, West Midlands.
Career- Lyndon attended Air Cadets at 240 (Darlaston) Squadron, attaining the rank of Cadet Warrant Officer. During his A Levels Lyndon gained an RAF Flying Scholarship and joined the Royal Air Force in 2001. Following training he completed his Private Pilots License, which was gained from the Phillip Sassoon Flying Award Scheme at RAF College Cranwell. Lyndon was posted to 20(R) Sqn to work on Harrier Gr7 aircraft for 7 years. He was also selected to work on the Harrier Display Team, travelling to America, Switzerland, Holland and Cyprus. Once promoted to Corporal, Lyndon worked in the Harrier Aerosystems Squadron in the Avionics Bay supporting all Operational Harrier Squadrons in Afghanistan. He joined the Red Arrows in 2009. Lyndon is also a Joint Service Skiing Instructor, which keeps him busy during the winter.
Background- Lyndon lives in Scunthorpe with his girlfriend Carly. Lyndon has two children, Ciara (6) and Joleon (4). A keen supporter of West Bromwich Albion, Lyndon likes to go to watch the games. He also enjoys hill walking, music festivals and socialising.
