With a fleet of over 20 vehicles, the Red Arrows also have their own drivers who operate everything from an aircraft refuelling bowser to a 38-ton articulated tractor and trailer. The six-strong team’s primary role is that of aircraft refuelling and replenishment of diesel for the smoke generation systems. When the Red Arrows operate away from base within the UK, the team also ensure that equipment and personnel are delivered on time to display venues.
