The Competition has now been concluded. Over the next weeks this site will be updated with results and images from the event. Please Check back.

"Developing the right skills is fundamental to achieving our ambitions as individuals for our families and for our communities".

Tony Blair May 2006

The recent MoD Skills Pledge made a specific commitment to our workforce to raise skill levels, particularly across vocational skills, of which engineering forms a major part. The MoD is the UK's largest single supplier of apprenticeships. We see involvement in UK Skills competitions as an important area for personal development. These high profile competitions are attracting more recognition and support, and we are aiming to lead the way for aeronautical engineering. The first Tri-Service Aeronautical Engineering Technician of the Year competition is to be held at the Defence College of Aeronautical Engineering Cosford in April 2008. This major event will be overseen by UK Skills.
