Air Cadets proud to play a part in the Coronation of His Majesty The King

The Royal Air Force Air Cadets was proud to play a part in the historic occasion of the Coronation of His Majesty The King on Saturday 6 May, 2023.

The eyes of the nation were on the Coronation Ceremony at Westminster Abbey, London as His Majesty King Charles III was crowned.

Our cadets played a part in the ceremony on the day. 48 ATC and CCF(RAF) cadets, plus two Banner bearers took part in various aspects of the Coronation.

FS Zidour-Khan of 34 (Balham and Tooting) Sqn carried the ATC banner in the Coronation ceremony. She and the rest of the banner bearers were led by a marching band contingent containing several CCF RAF musicians.

More than 150 cadets and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers also witnessed the Procession from the stands at Admiralty Arch, while many units around the UK took part in their own events in local communities.
