RAF Return To Fitness Programme Week 8
The final week of the ‘Develop’ Phase! We kick off with yet more education, this time from Corporal Pip Kavanagh, discussing the benefits, drawbacks and comparisons between High Intensity Interval Training and Low Intensity Steady State training methods.
The final run of this phase consists of a 20-minute run. Having progressed so far already, It will be intriguing to see if you can improve upon your distance in comparison to your initial attempt on week 4.
"The ongoing pandemic has presented many challenges and to coincide with the gradual easing of restrictions our RAF Physical Training Instructors have created a Return to Fitness Package to assist Regular and Reserve personnel to maintain their health, fitness and wellbeing. Based on a progressive programme of activities and including important nutritional advice, personnel will have access to information leaflets, videos and audio files for use at home, at the gym or outdoors."
