BBMF Visitor centre guide reaches 25 years of voluntary service

Tony Peatman, one of the BBMF Visitor Centre guides, was presented with a certificate on the 21st June 2022 having achieved 25 years of voluntary service as a guide. RAF Coningsby Station Commander and BBMF Fighter Pilot, Group Captain Matt Peterson was proud to present Tony with his certificate and congratulate him on reaching this significant milestone.

Tony is part of a team of knowledgeable and enthusiastic volunteer guides, who lead groups of visitors on tours around the BBMF hangar, providing details of the histories of the individual aircraft and telling inspirational stories of the men and women who operated these types of aircraft during the Second World War. All of our guides have their own favourite stories and place their own ‘slant’ on their tours, so each and every visit to the Flight is different and repeat visitors are very unlikely to feel that they’ve heard it all before. If you haven’t been on a tour of the BBMF hangar via the BBMF Visitor Centre, it is certainly not an experience to be missed!
