Spitfire PM631 gets closer to returning to flight

PM631, a Mark XIX Photo Reconnaissance aircraft built in 1945, has been grounded since 2014 due to a gear problem and the scarcity of spares.  On 4th December 2018, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight engineers carried out engine runs in the winter sunshine, a significant step towards getting her flying again.
