Today (13th April), the RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team were awarded their Public Display Authority (PDA) for their 2022 Display Season.
Displaying at their home, RAF Brize Norton, the team put on a fantastic aerial display for Air Officer Commanding (AOC) No. 2 Group, Air Vice-Marshal Suraya Marshall MA LLB RAF, who awarded the Team their PDA.
Flight Lieutenant Stu Philpott, Officer Commanding RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team said:
“The entire Team have worked exceptionally hard to get to this point and now having received our public display authority we are able to look forward to an exciting season ahead. We’ve developed and added extra elements to the display format for the 2022 season: we can’t wait to show the crowds across the UK and Europe. I’m proud to lead the Team, during what I am sure will be an exceptionally busy, but extremely rewarding season.”

Over the last few months, the Team have been conducting training in the UK and overseas in preparation for their new season where they will be displaying at various events up and down the country.
Wing Commander Hamish Pearson, Officer Commanding Airborne Delivery Wing said:
“It has been fantastic to see the Falcons build upon their new 'Carousel' display format throughout their winter training. Even more exciting is the huge number of displays that the Falcons have in their schedule for the upcoming display season - the largest number for many years. This, coupled with the possibility of the Team displaying from a variety of UK military aircraft, makes for the prospect of an extremely exciting season ahead.”
