Royal Air Force Falcons 2021 Season Finale at Duxford Airshow

Duxford Summer Air Show is presented by IWM Duxford, Europe's largest air museum and historical airfield. This former RAF site played a central role in some of the most dramatic days in 20th century history - serving as a base for many of the Spitfire and Hurricane pilots during the Second World War.

There seemed no better location for RAF Falcons to bring their 60th Anniversary season to end: Duxford Air Shows have delighted crowds for decades, creating whole new generations of Air Show fans and the RAF Falcons were delighted to be part of this iconic event.

As the season came to an end, we also said farewell to members of the team who will move to pastures new.

“Serving on the RAF Falcons has been the greatest privilege of my RAF Career.  Our 60th Anniversary Season has been amazing. To have joined the ranks of those who have gone before and to have “hopefully” inspired the younger generation to go on and do things they thought not possible, is a huge honour to be bestowed. I wish the team every success and remember to “always fall forward”.

The RAF Falcons will now take a much-earned break before they start their winter training, ahead of their 2022 season.

“We have had a superb 2021 60th Anniversary Season and look forward to bringing our audiences displays under the prestigious red, white and blue canopies in 2022.”

Flight Lieutenant Stuart Philpott
Deputy Officer Commanding
