The event, which runs until Friday, is a global platform for the aerospace and defence industry and is an opportunity to showcase UK innovation to a significant international audience.

Hawk aircraft from the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, with their distinctive Union flag-design tailfins, joined the Typhoon this morning in the skies above the airshow.

One of the core aims of the Red Arrows is to inspire and providing an exciting mixed formation flypast over Farnborough International Airshow is a great way to herald the start of this huge event – one which brings together a global audience to celebrate and explore the future of aviation and space.
