Scott has been in the UK since 2020, working on a collaborative project between UK Space Command and US Space Force to drive forward cutting-edge technology for both nations. During that time, he has proved to be an inspirational leader and a superb team member. His work as an internationally recognised security expert helped ensure that potential issues affecting his team’s operational outputs were overcome and that the training of his British and American teammates was not disrupted. During the commendation review process, he stood out as an exceptional senior non-commissioned officer, looked up to and respected by all those around him, whatever uniform they wear.

Master Sergeant Streepy has applied his innovative mindset and ferocious tenacity to overcome significant hurdles, developing novel solutions to advance our joint mission and was recognised by both his British and American colleagues as the epitome of an individual who puts service before self. As an exemplary ambassador for the Special Relationship between the UK and the USA, he was a stand-out candidate for special recognition.

Scott, originally from Windber, Pennsylvania, has been a US Air Force Security Forces Defender since 2009. His tours of duty have seen him serve in Ohio, Colorado and now the UK, he has completed six operational deployments to the Middle East and he has worked as part of US space missions for seven years.

I was extremely thankful and honoured to be recognised in the Queen's Birthday Honours List, especially as part of her Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Receiving the commendation and representing both the United States Air Force and United States Space Force in this joint environment has been a highlight of my career. Being able to do that in such a beautiful country has truly made for a once in a lifetime experience for me and my wife Katie.
