RAF Police Acting Sergeant Forbes receives a Joint Commanders Commendation

Congratulations to RAF Police Acting Sergeant Annie Forbes on receiving a Joint Commanders Commendation in the Air Operational Honours and Awards.

During her overseas deployment A/Sgt Forbes was recognised for the outstanding contribution she made to the Combined Air Operations Centre. Implementing new measures to ensure the safety and security of UK and coalition forces across the Middle East she has deservedly been awarded the Chief of Joint Operations, Joint Commanders Commendation.

True to her nature Annie was taken aback when she heard the news.

She said: “I feel very humbled and honoured to be recognised for this award. I definitely wouldn’t have been in this position without the amazing team I had out there.”

She added: “Having been in the RAF Police for over 8 years I have deployed all over the world, but this tour was definitely a career highlight.”

After enjoying some post operational leave Annie is now back to work at RAF Honington, playing Rugby for the RAF and RAF Police and enjoying lots of walks with her gorgeous collie Alfie.

Well done A/Sgt Forbes.
