RAF Regiment Cricket Team vs Wounded Veterans XI

RAF Honington was delighted to support a charity cricket match and family fun day at Walsham le Willows Sports Club, where the RAF Regiment took on the Jack Patrick Memorial Team, a Wounded Veterans side in 2 T20 matches.  The event also included children’s activities, food and drink and live music. Aviators and personnel from RAF Honington and the RAF Regiment joined the local Walsham le Willows community and relaxed with colleagues, friends and families.

All proceeds made will go to the Wounded Veterans' XI charity, the RAF Benevolent Fund and the Centurion Fund (the RAF Regiment's charity).Stn Cdr, Gp Capt Holland

“I’m proud that the RAF Regiment Cricket team is playing a wounded veterans side to raise money for a number of charities and to support and promote cricket and sport more broadly. We are immensely grateful to Walsham le Willows Cricket Club for welcoming us and hosting us for what I hope will become an annual event. Everyone wins today!”
