FP Force and The Royal Norwegian Air Force Road Map Signing

RAF FP Force signed the 2022/2023 Specialist Force Protection Road Map with the Royal Norwegian Air Force as part of the ongoing bilateral activity between the Nations.

The Road Map was signed Wg Cdr Guy Wood, SO1 Strategic Organisation and Workforce Plans and Lt Col Marianne Eidem, Commanding Officer Force Protection Battalion, 132 Air Wing.

Wg Cdr Wood said "We are delighted to reaffirm our close relationship with the Royal Norwegian Air Force and we look forward to using this Road Map as a platform to help us navigate through the many challenges that Force Protection specialists face"   

The signing took place at Ørland Airbase, during a visit by the RAF Force Protection Force HQ to Ex HEIMDALL, a large scale collective exercise programme that was underway, part of which was focussed upon Force Protection.

Lt Col Eidem said "Our continued engagement with the RAF’s Force Protection Specialists is crucial to our collective mission to protect and secure our Air Forces at home and abroad.  We are very proud of our relationship with the [RAF’s] Force Protection Units and we were honoured to host them here in Ørland during our Battalion exercise."
