3 (Tactical) Police Squadron falls under the Specialist Police Wing, under Force Protection. They provide reservist support to operations, undertaking the start to finish process of recruitment, training, mobilisation and support of reserve personnel.
Personnel are trained in General Policing Duties and Aviation Security with additional specialist roles in Counter Intelligence, Close Protection and Military Working Dog duties.
Ab Inito personnel are trained in General Police Duties and Aviation Security. Opportunities also exist for Military Working Dog Handling and Specialist Duties including Close Protection. Aviation Security tasks worldwide are delivered by Reservists in their spare time.
