No. 4 RAF Police & Security Squadron (Typhoon) Headquarters falls under Air Security Force and is based at RAF Lossiemouth. It provides capability focussed security for the Typhoon Force.
The Squadron protects the RAF’s Typhoons whilst operating from RAF Lossiemouth and RAF Coningsby, and when deployed overseas
RAF Police embedded within the Typhoon Force Headquarters enhance the delivery of Counter Intelligence, Protective Security and Law Enforcement outputs to protect and secure RAF assets, information and personnel at home and abroad.
Using an integrated blend of RAF Police, Military Provost Guard Service and Civil Servants 4 RAF Police (Typhoon) Squadron also provides security and policing to RAF Coningsby, RAF Lossiemouth, RAF Leeming and RAF Spadeadam.
RAF Police Military Working Dogs are stationed at RAF Coningsby and RAF Lossiemouth. RAF Police and Military Working Dog Teams can deploy across the UK and Overseas to protect the RAF and its assets.
