6 Cyber Reserve Squadron is a lodger unit parented by the Operational Information Services Wing of 90 Signals Unit.

WHAT WE DO
After nearly a decade as a Flight of 591 Signals Unit, the Squadron stood up at Digby in October 2021 to provide the highest levels of cyber security expertise from the public and private sectors into the RAF.
The Unit’s number is its first unusual feature as it does not conform to the normal RAuxAF Order of Battle (normally new units would adopt historic number plates). Nor is there any precedent for the innovative ways in which the Unit recruits, trains, operates and delivers value to the RAF and Defence.
Members provide training to RAF Bases and Air Wings in Cyber Defensive Operations to optimise the skills and experience of personnel in defence against cyber threats.
