THE SQUADRON
No. 7 RAF Police & Security Squadron provides specialist aviation security supports the Air Mobility Force, deepening its alignment with the Air Mobility Force to enable capability focused security advice and bespoke specialist security effects to mitigate against the ever-changing threat and protect the RAF on global operations.
The RAF Police, Military Provost Guard Service (MPGS) Soldiers and Civil Servants of No. 7 Squadron’s RAF Police & Security Flights have Policing and Security responsibilities for RAF Brize Norton and Northolt, strengthened by RAF Police Military Working Dog Teams stationed at RAF Brize Norton who protect the RAF and its assets. No. 7 Squadron screen all passengers and freight travelling through the terminals at RAF Brize Norton, Northolt, and South Cerney to ensure dangerous air cargo and prohibited articles are identified and regulated whilst also providing specialist security guidance to aircrew to ensure Defence is kept safe and secure whilst delivering the Air effect.
