Housing
The Housing Office staff at RAF Akrotiri are mainly responsible for allocating houses, carrying out march-in, pre-march-out and march-out appointments.
The Community Welfare Officer (CWO) and his Junior Non-Commissioned Officer CWO are in the Oasis Centre behind the HIVE and Thrift Shop.
They can help with any welfare concern service personnel or families may have.

Health and welfare
Medical Centre
The Medical Centre at RAF Akrotiri provides medical and dental care to all Service Personnel and Dependants.
Dependants must register at the Medical Centre on arrival to RAF Akrotiri.
Soldiers’, Sailors’ and Airmen’s Families Association (SSAFA)

The Oasis Centre
The Oasis centre is a welfare facility for all unaccompanied service personnel serving at RAF Akrotiri.
The centre offers a wide range of facilities including: High speed Wi-Fi and space to conduct private FaceTime conversations, cinema room and café, gaming rooms, a table tennis/pool room and an outdoor gym. It’s the perfect place to relax and meet new friends outside of the working environment.
Chaplains
The Chaplaincy is based at Akrotiri Chaplaincy Centre on station.
Church services and meetings are Sunday, 10am. Followed by refreshments.
There is a Sunday school most weeks.

Sports
Station gym
The gym offers a wide range of facilities and equipment for serving personnel, entitled civilians and dependants to use including a fitness suite, weight-training bay, spinning bikes and squash courts.

Bars and cafés
The bars and cafés on station are open to British Forces Cyprus (BFC) personnel and their families.
Coffee Pot
Has a soft play for young children.
Opening times: Monday to Friday, 10am to 3pm. The softplay closes at 2pm.
The Rugby club
Opening times: Friday to Saturday, 2pm to 11pm.
The Snug on the Beach
Opening times: Monday to Sunday, 10:30 to 5pm (April to October).
Akrotiri Bowling Centre
Opening times: Monday to Sunday, 3pm to 8pm.
Children and young people
British Forces Cyprus Youth and Community Service
The Service contributes to the welfare of entitled families by providing social and educational opportunities for young people aged 8 to 18 years old.
The Service has youth centres and various projects in Akrotiri, Episkopi, Dhekelia and Ayios Nikolaos.

Thrift Shop
The RAF Akrotiri Thrift Shop is at the Oasis Centre on station.
Opening times: Monday to Thursday, 9am to midday, Wednesday, 9am to midday and 1:30pm to 3pm.
Costcutter
Costcutter provides a wide range of UK goods on the island as well as a great selection of Cypriot groceries and fresh foods.
Opening times: Monday to Saturday, 8am to 7pm, and Sunday, 9am to 3pm.
