On Saturday, 2nd November, Wing Commander McGrath attended the Dedication Ceremony at the Field of Remembrance in Saltwell Park, Gateshead. Now in its 12th year, the Field of Remembrance, located outside Saltwell Towers, is organised by the Royal British Legion to honour those who lost their lives in military service.
The solemn Dedication Service brought together Armed Forces representatives, including Regulars, Reserves, Cadets, and members of the public, all united in paying tribute to fallen service personnel. The annual gathering serves as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made in conflicts past and present.
