Last weekend OMEN formation (two Hercules from No. 47 Squadron) practiced air-to-air refuelling with TARTAN 42 (a Voyager crewed by Nos. 10 and 101 Squadrons).

After receiving fuel over the North Sea, the Hercules formation descended to low altitude and conducted Operational Low Flying Training in the snowy Highlands of Scotland.

This training ensures that Hercules aircrew are able to maintain readiness for global Defence operations until commitments are handed over to the A400M Atlas aircraft next year.
